Cat has nasal blockage, wont eat,no energy, uncontrolled urinating where she lays what should I do? Vet??
Just bought cat 4 weeks ago from animal shelter. KC (cat) has been hiding for the last 3 weeks in the house and has been extremely upset if we try to make contact. She finally came out last week and we have had a chance to play with her. Now she seems to have some sort of sinus infection and is not eating. Low energy, lots of green mucus running from nose and watery eyes. Also she is not using her liter box anymore, she will just go bathroom were she is laying and will continue to lay in it. When we move her to clean it up, she gets upset. Do I take her to the vet or will this pass on its own?

Your cat is knocking on deaths door.
Find an emergency vet and get her there now!!!!!

Of course take her to the vet! I say take her RIGHT NOW. It’s common for a cat from the shelter to have infections When I got a cat from the shelter, they all warned me to look out for any kind of infection.
If your cat has been hiding, it’s more than likely that this has been going on for a while.
Do not wait to make an appointment. Take her to an emergency center, as soon as possible.
I hope she gets better, good luck.

This is a joke, right?
An animal that is sick enough to NOT remove itself from its own feces/urine messes is an animal that should have seen the vet DAYS ago. (if not WEEKS)
GOTTA be a joke. Seriously, nobody is this stupid, are they?

if this question is for real then your cat needs a vet ASAP
and if this question is for real you should not be owning a cat with such low intelligence !
I cannot believe this cat is laying in its own wee……..has lots of green mucus running from its nose and you are asking should it see a vet ????????
Actually this really cannot be for real can it

It sounds like you have a very stressed and sick cat.
Due to the stress of transitioning to your home she has had a suppressed immune system
Stress triggers many things in cats.
Many stressed cats may develop urinary tract problems.
Infections and cystitis are common occurrences in cats who went through a traumatic and stressful event.
What should you do?
Make an appointment as soon as one is available.
The cats blood and urine are needed to check for infection and renal function..
She obviously needs oral antibiotics to address a probable upper respiratory infection.
The URI does not concern me as much as her loss of urine.
URIs are commonly found in shelter cats and are usually treatable.
As a veterinary technician I can assure you the cat needs to be examined by a veterinarian for proper treatment.
The longer you wait the harder a condition is to treat.
This will not pass without veterinary intervention.

cats are very clean animals so peeing on the spot and then laying in it means that she is VERY sick. Take her to the vet NOW! I cant believe u even had to ask.

it sounds like she has URI although the urination problem is the thing that needs to be brough to the attention of your vet immediately.
