do you think people would care about global warming at much if gas and energy price were so high?
the reason i ask this is well obviously global warming has been going on for years but people didn’t start caring much about it at all until gas and energy prices started skyrocketing. also it seems like none of the car producers are really producing truly green cars they might not use gas but now the new cars like the ford flex that are fully "plug in" electric cars are doing nothing but moving green house gasses from the exhaust pipe to the coal mines and it seems like people think cars like that are going to stop global warming…
um im sorry but i never saw the scientific evidence that global warming doesnt exist….oh right because it does…

Key point here is what is normal climate range. During the Sporer and Maunder minimums it was up to 3c colder than for instance the 1998 spike. During the Holocene, Roman, medieval warm periods it was up to 5c warmer than our 1998 spike of the modern climate optimum. So this if we take the mean between the two recorded and documented extremes means we are currently on the cold side of the mean temperature and to reach the true climate mean of the last 4,000 years of recorded history our climate needs to rise another 1c. To reach the average temperatures of the previous 4 recorded optimums the climate needs to rise by close to 4c. So I think instead of complaining we are not freezing our toes off you should be thankful we are in a nice warm but not to warm climate optimum. Do some research and study away from the political alarmist sites that only want to panic people into making mistakes in judgement that will enhance their profits financially and politically.
Added thought;
All any of us needs to do is examine our history books for how the climate generally was in the years 900, 1400 and closest 1600 because this is about where we are now. Except 1400 was noticeably hotter than we currently are.

I personally think this Global Warming thing is a bunch of crap.
AND have you noticed that when gas was goinh up, people STILL didn’t give a crap about Global Warming. They only cares about themselves and their cars.
Face it, not a lot of people care about something that doesn’t exist

Yes, because the liberal media pounced on Al Gore’s movie, An Inconvenient truth, and has created the global warming crisis, and has blamed it all on humans. The issue is being forced on us and not only that, but almost all their claims are false.

There is no global warming. Belief in it is a religion.
Prius is it’s sacrament.
Al Gore is the pope.
RealClimate.org is the cathedral.
Carbon footprint is original sin.

People might have (the scientists environmental ones) but the average person might not have. I would suggest using cars less and biking around town is much better for the environment. I have a website if you would like to take a look.

probably not for the majority of cases. Alot of people’s minds are only in tune with their pockets. But i feel that if this is the only way to get them to notice then so be it. Fossil fuels cant last forever. The only way forward i believe is to work on renewable energy sources. Then Electrically powered cars will be useful.

I’d say if anything high prices make people care less about GW, since the only real way out of rising prices is to raise supply, which obviously doesn’t help for carbon emissions.
