green building project question?

i have a school project, and i have to build a scale model green (energy saving) house. some how i have to make the inside colder than out side. any suggestions on how i should make the house? or how to make it colder?

p.s. i already had the idea of putting ice inside to make it colder. but it would melt.

    Solar cells to a thermoelectric cooler. I just hope you have the budget.
    You might go with a solar powered mini swap cooler.
    As for building the house, check out Hobby Lobby. They have the parts for scale doll houses.
