Green Laser pointer 30mW. 2AA batteries. could i double the voltage to double the power?

Does anyone know the maximum voltage for a laser diode? or any general suggestions before i try to add more batteries.
i cannot take it apart to mod it, that why i wondering if i could just increase the voltage. to increase the current to increase the power!

It won’t work ,coz the power of laser pointer depends on its laser diode not the power supply.

if it didnt cost a lot you could pot mod it. it wont last as long but it will be a lot stronger. plenty of youtube videos on how to

No. Your best bet is to try a variable power supply, say
0 to 5.0 volts D. C. Make very sure that the proper eye
protection is used, that the laser diode is properly mount-
ed to a heat sink, and use a volt meter on the output of
your power supply. Have a switch in series of the laser
so you don’t burn it out, and for safety reasons. Turn off
the switch. Turn on the power supply. Make sure that the
power supply has no output voltage. Adjust the power
supply to 2.5 volts. Turn on the laser switch. Very slowly,
turn up the voltage. If the beam or the light it casts changes
even a little bit, shut it down. I don’t recommend this as a
grade school experiment, but more for high school, w/ the
stupervision of an adult or crazy science teacher who wears
    dark glasses.
