Which of the green power options , if any, do you feel are NOT viable energy sources for the future? Why?

Ethanol as a fuel source has failed. Unless the proper enzymes can be synthesized that react with something other than corn, this technology will eventually fall by the wayside. At this time, it is only financially viable if oil exceeds something like $100 per barrel.

"Clean" coal is a myth. Nuclear is too dangerous and too expensive.

I think most of them have a place:

Osmosis, tidal, hydro, ocean current, wave, wind, concentrating solar, solar PV, wind, biomass, geothermal…

I think solar is currently way too expensive.

Wind will probably eventually hit a ‘threshold’ amount of energy it can produce (because of hte land required etc), but we’re miles away from that.

Corn ethanol is a ridiculous technology though. It uses up way too many resources, too much water, energy & land to make. It shouldn’t exist tbh. Biofuel from algae might work out though.

I think…… there was this one thing, and I thought it was a GOOD idea to use because they had this bus, and they powered it with soybean oil….. so……….. I can’t think of anything right now…. sorry haven’t learned all this stuff about green sources of energy so… can’t think of anything.
