How many of you feel displeasure over our candidates?
I am neither a republican or democrat, I tend to lean conservative, but vote for whatever candidate I believe is best, regardless of party.
That being said, how many of you feel that none of the candidates we have this year can fix America?
Both McCain and Obama are soft on the boders and illegal aliens.
McCain and Obama support Lieberman’s bill that would tax energy to reduce green house gases. This bill would not only cripple the economy, but it will also eliminate roughly 9% of America’s remaining factory jobs. Thus creating us to depend even more on consuming to support our economy.
After doing research on both candidates, I really hope there is a viable third party candidate.
Does anyone else feel this way?
I don’t think you can classify Bush as a true conservative.
His policy has been to spend to make government bigger, that’s not what a true conservative is.
A true conservative is someone that believes in small government with minimal taxes and states rights to decide over the federal government.

They are all lousy really, your right they are both soft on borders and that crazy energy bill that will cause gas and electric prices to skyrocket. Nancy Pelosi is just nuts not to mention Harry Reid…. So out of touch with the people, wouldn’t surprise me to hear one say "Let them eat cake" soon. We need a better class of politician.

Conservatives should be unhappy with these two canidates. They are both from the more liberal ends of their parties.
It’s hardly surprising that primary voters went the way they did though. I don’t think anyone thinks the last 8 years of conservative gonvernance has put the country in a particularly good place.
In the general election the most liberal canidate will win again…..
And by the way, on energy, if we had had the good sense to tax energy a long time ago (like they do in europe) we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in today. Our energy gluttony has made our economy extremely vulnerable to market flucuations. An energy tax is going to be very painful, but will ultimately make us a more robust more sustainable society.

Yes, I feel the same.
I grew up believing there were people you could trust - doctors, lawyers, politicians. My beliefs were completely shattered. And politicians are the worst. They’ll say whatever to get into office & then do what they damn well please where they get in. And none adhere to any principles. "Read my lips"? "I didn’t have sex with that woman"?
And if all these long term politicians-Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, Robert Byrd, et al, (God! They’ve been in for DECADES!) are such great politicians, then why is the country so screwed up? They’ve been in there so long…they’re the ones that screwed it up.
Yeah, a better class of politician. There wasn’t supposed to be a politician class. Regular people were supposed to DO THEIR DUTY & serve the country for a while & then go back to real life. These life-long losers lose touch with the real world…

Last 8 years of conservative governance? Somebody want to point out who the conservatives were these past 8 years? Because it damn sure wasn’t President Bush or anyone in Congressional leadership. If you want Conservatism, look at the Reagan years. Those worked, and worked all the way through the 90s, laying the foundation for the Internet economy boom that Clinton put us on cruise control for, and did nothing to help maintain.
But OT, McCain lost my vote for life on McCain/Feingold. I will never vote for him. Obama wants to bring socialism to America, and I won’t stand for that. I say, win back Congress to the Conservatives. At least they’ll keep the liberal policies of either president at bay.

I am so disgusted with the choices we have this year for president, that I am considering voting for a third party candidate.
Both Obambi and McSame make me puke with their liberalness.

I know, the choices this time around arn’t very appealing. Of course, would you want to be the CEO of a faltering company with a paltry salary and no golden parachute? You would HAVE to be corrupt to want to be president now.

With the candidates that are runnign this year, I don’t plan on voting. I don’t believe in either of them enough to win my vote.

No. I am happy with my candidates. I know none of these candidates are Gods. They are human too. It is what it is and life goes on.
