is it true that green tea freshens breath?
i read on internet that green tea kills bacteria in mouth and is anticavity, antiplaque and anti-gingivitis too. Then the webpage said that several scientific studies prove it.
are these facts true or false?
i tried to experiment on this fact. i decided that if i have bad breath, i will try drinking green tea instead of using mouthwash. My breath indeed improved a lot after drinking green tea. If that is true, why is it so?

yes it is true. a medical website says so too –

Green tea has lots of anti-bacterial properties in it. It is a natural way to fight bad breath instead of using man-made chemicals like mouthwashes, which often are too strong with alcohol in it.
Not only this, there are lots of anti-oxidants in it too that help protect the cells.
There are lots of benefits of green tea — aids in digestion by cleaning the system.
When you drink green tea few minutes later you often feel like visiting the toilet to take huge load of crap out…….. that is why i avoid drinking it if i'm not home.
