My tv won’t turn on, but the green power light will?
Yesterday my tv randomly turned off and now we can’t get it to turn on. The green power light will show, but the picture on the screen won’t come on. It’s not the cable box, that works. But the tv doesn’t. Please help me fix this! I don’t know what to do. Also please give me some suggestions to why this might be happening! Please & thank you(:

Try unplugging the TV for a half hour to an hour. See if that resets the power supply!
If that doesn’t do it, then there’s a problem with the power supply and you’ll need to contact the manufacturer for further assistance!
Good luck!

There are two possibilities that come to mind:
One: you may have a different input selected than that from the cable box. Some TVs have 4 inputs plus the one from the cable TV. Make sure you have the TV antenna selected and no the input for a DVD player or some other device.
Two: Can you select the menu and see a display? Use the buttons on the TV itself, not the remote. If you can see anything, then you have a setup problem with your TV. Try to set the TV back to factor defaults and select the TV antenna as your input.

Try this. Turn your cable box on and keep pressing tv/video to see if you switched channels. If that doesn’t work check your video wire from the cable box. Play a DVD or a vcr to see if you get any picture. If it works then you can eliminate the TV out of the equation. You will be left with the wire and the cable box or some third leg in this problem. Hope it helps.
