my xbox 360 got the red ring of death due to my power supply wont turn green, stays orange, how do you fix it?

came home from school and this happened.
i dont move my 360, been in the same spot as its been since i’ve first got it
i believe the power is the power cord
so if anyone knows a solution to making the power cord to green from red
please help.
and i’ve had my 360 for about a year or two.
if you know a solution this would be much appreciated thank you.

    You’ll find that orange is the normal color. Microsoft has a 3 year warrenty and will fix it for you. RROD is usualy caused by heat.
