Should poor countries sacrifice their economies to stop global warming and environmental issues?

This question comes after reading an article where China says that poor countries should not sacrifice their growth to the general concern about global warming and other environment issues. They have a point by adding that most of the green house emissions comes from the richest countries and that the effect of slowing their economy is far worst than the global warming effect. I belief that if we are able to travel to the moon and orbit the earth, we can find a better way to produce our goods and energy needs in a more efficient and cleaner way than today. Because of the fundings needed for research and development it needs to be done by the governments of the wealthiest nations. We as individual also need to play a part to be more efficient in the use of energy, water and goods. And this is not only is good for the environment but also for your own family budget.

If people naturally imitate each other, is it true that “green” Moms who have have 3+ kids are blameless?

I know everyone things they’re unique, but obviously, when all your friends are having umpteen kids, it makes you more comfortable doing the same, right? (If you really doubt this, travel and observe other cultures–we’re all conformists.)

So a Mom with lots of kids isn’t just adding more consumers to the earth, but also communicating an eco-destructive social norm to others, right?

I think I’m in trouble.

Im interested in green energy and sustainable fuel sources, what are the ways to make green while being green?

I'm going to be an owner/operator in a biodiesel manufacturing plant and I will have millions of gallons of biodiesel to sell, (if theres anyone looking for a large supply, here i am!) But i am looking to find out what other options are available in addition to what i will already be doing to make money in this area?

Im especially interested in ways to sell back to the power grid.

I do know a decent amount about solar panels and wind, but are there any other ideas out there or really ingenius ways to add to this desire?

What better way to make money helping the earth!

if you've got any information or suggestions that cant be posted privately, feel free to contact me!

What Will You Do To Stop The Harmful Effects of Dihydrogenoxide, a Green House Gas More Dangerous Than CO2?

For those of you who want to see more information on the fight to stop this horrible injustice please watch this youtube video..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yi3erdgVVTw

For those that don't want to take the time to watch the video, please read a little bit about Dihydrogen-oxide.

-Hundreds of thousands die every year excessive exposure
-It is a deadly green house gas that traps the suns heat much like CO2 except it has greater effect.
-All oil companies use it to extract oil, further exposing our oceans
-It is found to some degree in every lake and river in the U.S.
-Many industrial processes us it
-Excessive expossure can cause vomitting, and even death

The only way to eliminate this threat is to get the oil companies and others to stop using it in their processes. We can then remove the Dihydrogen-oxide from the earth using a costly and energy negative procedure that is going to take moderate sacrafices from all Americans, but together we can defeat this threat!

would the government pay for my patent if i invent a new way to make green energy?

i think i know a way to make reliable energy with out polluting the earth. i want to patent this idea and get it out there but i don't really have the money, i am only 18.. would the government help me or something?

Why is green energy referred to as alternative energy?

Wouldn't it make more sense to call it "green," "clean," or "renewable" energy? Just what exactly is green energy an alternative to? Is it an alternative to global warming, dependency on fossil fuels, deforestation, depletion of the earth's resources, extinction of several species, and acid rain? Is it an alternative to fighting wars over oil, oil lobbyists trying to run the show, and large corporations getting tax breaks and large subsidies? It doesn't sound like an alternative to me; it sounds like a solution. What do you think?
