Would you hunt for a government (greenie) sponsored job?
Invest in green tech stocks?
Prey on those that are scared?
Actually try to do something with purpose, and learn in the process?
Or do a combination of one or more?

I am 20 years old, I work for Verizon Wireless. I do have a 401k started. Basically I just wanted to invest my money in a very safe way that would yield good returns over a long length of time because right now my money is just sitting in my bank account doing nothing. In other words I’m not looking for the get rich quick stocks. Also how much of my paycheck should I devote to investing as opposed to just saving because you never know when the stock market could crash etc. My grandparents have a crap load of GE stock which seems to be a reliable one…just throwin it out there. I’d really appreciate any responses and please break it down to me because obviously I am not savvy with market terms etc…im green…a newbie. THANKYOU!

Does DHS know how long I’ve been outside the U.S for. My passport was recently renewed so there are no stamps indicating the date. I have been abroad for 1.5 years. I filed tax returns last year in the U.S and have U.S stocks and credit cards. My husband (an american) was working in Indonesia for this time and I was with him. I am flying in one week back to the U.S next week. Will they know how long I’ve been out if I don’t tell them?

Ok so I live in Washington, DC. A couple of months ago I so a informercial on TV. Basically it was about how easy it is to invest in stocks and the approach the guy was speaking about was a red light green light approach. Basically this meant that when the areas of investing where red it would be a bad idea to invest and when the green light was displaying then that meant it was a good idea to invest. I want a program thats easy to understand. That will teach me the ends and outs of the business. I just want to start investing and making money. If you have any ideas don’t hesitate to let me in on the secrets. THANKS ANSWERS!

It doesnt expand or contract or anything.
Its just noticable.
It stocks out from his left gill plate.
Its the same color as him, and he doesnt seem to notice it, nor does it have any affect on his behavior.
Could be treatable?
Or just a benine tumor or something?

I remember there was a bill about solar energy brought up in the congress recently. What happened to that, and when will it be discussed again?
Also, will the passage of that bill boost the solar stocks significantly?

The Wall Street Journal used to do this for each and every stock on all three exchanges, including the change in the stock price that occurred the previous day and the 52 week high/low, dividend, and price/earnings ratio but within the last year they "went green" and now they only publish the 1500 biggest stocks and only the price and the change the previous day. This is not good because my investing methodology used to be starting from a pool of all stocks that existed on each exchange and applying different considerations to gradually narrow the field until I had found a few that met all of my criteria. Does anyone know if there is another daily paper that still provides the info I need for all the stocks? If not, is there at least an "edition" (i.e., maybe the Sat edition) of any of them that would do this? Failing that, is there a free website that I could go to that lists all the stocks and this info? Thanks in advance for any pertinent and knowledgeable responses.
I’m not referring to a newspaper or site where if you already know the ticker symbol you can get the results, but one that lists all of them in an accessible format which you can review.

since global warming and the need for more greener energy like wind power increases, is it really possible you can make lots of money by buying these companies now that are worth virtually nothing, and wait until the world gets the need of renewable energy? (buying shares of stocks). Thanks

I was wondering what some good "green" (eco-friendly) stocks, or anything like that, to invest in. Also, why? Thank you in advanced.

I just got a chunk of money back from filing my taxes. I want to start investing for my future (retirement) but my moral and values go against investing in anything that is not environmentally friendly. Does anyone know anything about investing in eco friendly stocks? websites? advice?

I am really interested in investing in Green technology, specifically solar, wind, or hydrogen energy. If you could just give a few names of stocks/companies that would succeed i would greatly appreciate it thanks.

I'm doing a speech on Going Green on investing in green companies. I am posting here in hopes to get some theories on how people think Green stocks will do if we end up in a full blown recession? While you're at it, if you have some decent green stocks that you think have good looking financials or you think are worth looking at, let me know. Like I said, I'm looking for ideas. I have a few I am focusing on, but I can always use more. Thanks!
