The dreaded RED RING OF DEATH. If your XBox is not working this is what you have. Get in touch with the company. My son had to send his in to get fixed. They sent a box to him and paid for shipping and fixed it for free.

Make sure your video and audio cables are plugged in. It will turn a dark orange which many people confuse with the red ring of death. If they are securely in your xbox then its probably the ring of death. try to turn it off then back on. If its still red, then you have to contact Microsoft and let them know. They will further say to send it to them and they will fix it for free.

There are a couple questions, how many lights are 3 or 4? If it’s 3 then it’s the red ring of death. If it is four check you video cable. It will do that if it doesn’t think the cable is inserted correctly.

How many lights are red? One means there was a hardware error, two means the console over heated, three means there was a hardware error, four means no AV/HDMI cables were detected.

If you have 4 red lights , that mean the console is not connected to the TV, just go and check your cables
If it is showing 3 red lights, just go straight away and contact the support line because your console needs to be repaired
If it is showing 2 red lights that means it is over heated, so leave it to cool down , and give yourself a break
If it is showing 1 red light, Remove the Hard Drive, and if it didn’t work , call the support line because it needs to be repaired
