What Vegetable has Purple Stocks and Large Oval Shaped Dark Green Leaves?

We planted our garden this year and in with our cabbage plants is a plant that might possibly be a turnip but its doubtful, it has large oval shaped dark green leaves, the plant itsself is purple, along with the stocks. WHAT IS IT?

    Might be a weed.Possibly burdock.
